341 Inventory Supervisor

We are currently seeking an experienced Inventory Supervisor to lead a team of dedicated Material Handlers. You are passionate about mentoring and helping individuals grow and you have had previous success driving process improvement initiatives. The Inventory Supervisor will foster open communication and a collaborative workplace and must be flexible and prepared to work in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do…

Reporting to the Inventory and Logistics Manager, and working closely with Manufacturing, QC, QA, Supply Chain, and Engineering, you will have responsibility to:

  • Manage and lead a team of material handlers including prioritization and scheduling of daily and weekly tasks
  • Monitor the effectiveness of inventory processes to ensure optimal material flow and identify and drive opportunities for improvement
  • Monitor all inventory metrics, investigate variances, and lead or assist with implementation of corrective and preventative measures when necessary
  • Work together with other operations functions to implement effective and efficient inventory systems based on best practices
  • Act as the point of contact for ECO related inventory implementation actions
  • Assist with inventory containment activities including verification and segregation of impacted materials
  • Train and mentor Inventory team members in material handling and inventory control processes and best practices
  • Ensure all Inventory team members are aware of and follow all health and safety requirements of the workplace
  • Conduct performance and compensation reviews and propose employee development plans
  • Support the team and lead by example including carrying out basic inventory tasks when necessary

  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in an inventory control role
  • A minimum of 3 years related supervisory experience
  • CPIM or equivalent designation is considered an asset
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple, competing deliverables effectively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible and able to take on additional responsibilities as required
